What is a
CER?
Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) are carbon credits issued by the
CDM Executive Board for emission reductions achieved by CDM projects under
the rules of the Kyoto Protocol. Industries that fall under the regulations
of the European Emission Trading Scheme (EUETS) can use these credits
to partly fulfil their greenhouse gas obligations.
